Gliding
In 1989 I trained in a Bocian glider at the Cranfield University Airfield. As a student of Cranfield and a member of the club I got the training flights subsidised which only cost GBP 5.00 to be towed up to 3000 feet. Those were the days :-)

When I went solo I use a parat from the Cranfield club.
This was a super little glider to fly. On a good day (like the one in the picture below) you had to apply breaks to get the thing down.
